Girls of all ages treasure that special doll that becomes their best friend.  That doll that they often talk to throughout the day and accompany them everywhere they go. My daughter was one of those girls. 

At an early age, my mom saw a special handmade doll for my daughter.  The doll was dressed with my daughter’s favorite colors and had her same color hair.  Although my daughter had other dolls and toys, her handmade doll was the one that took the car ride with her and spend the whole day keeping her company. For many years, that special handmade doll was my daughter’s best friend and even now that she is in High School it is still prominently displayed over her bed.  

As family and friends saw my daughter’s handmade doll and the close relationship that they both shared, they started asking for handmade dolls for their daughters and granddaughters.  It is certainly a magical moment to see the girls’ eyes sparkle as their new handmade doll is introduced to them.  Each handmade doll is made with so much love, dedication and attention to detail that the doll in turn radiates that affection back to the girl that becomes her best friend.   By word-of-mouth, my mom got more and more requests for handmade dolls and I also started to get involve in making them. 

Earlier this year, I thought about the opportunity of allowing other girls in the world have the experience of having a handmade doll made especially for them, and decided to make the handmade dolls available to you all over the web.  I decided to name the dolls Gloria’s Handmade Dolls in honor of my mother. 

I certainly hope that you give Gloria’s Handmade Dolls the opportunity to brighten the day of that special someone in your life.
